God loves you and wants you to fulfill the purpose for which you were created. God's desires for you are where your heart will find it's home, because His heart for you is good, pure and perfect. When we find the true desires of our heart, we find that they are the very desires that God has placed there from the beginning. You were created in the image of God to bear His glory in this world and the universe beyond.

There are some obstacles to this, however. Your life is being opposed. You have an adversary whom Jesus called Satan. Satan opposes all that is in the heart of God. Satan was created a cherub of great beauty and wisdom. He was originally given the name Lucifer, which means 'bearer of light' and he, too, had a unique and special purpose in God's creation. He was further anointed by God, even beyond his created beauty and wisdom. Yet, Satan used his free will to rebel against God and to try and overthrow Him, so that he could be worshipped instead. Lucifer wasn't content with his created purpose and exalted himself in pride and, by becoming the Adversary, chose himself into a lesser and lower state of existence.

When God created man and woman, the glorious image of God which emanated from them was too much for Satan to bear and in bitter hatred he set out to deceive man and woman and to draw them into bondage under him. Satan eventually did deceive man and woman and they, too, just like he, used their free will to disobey God and also chose themselves into a lesser and lower state of existence. The consequences were awful. Man and woman thereafter experienced fear, anger, hopelessness and shame. Satan thereby marred the image of God in man and woman and the lunch-pin of His significance and acceptance was pulled out. As a result, brokenness occurred on every level; brokenness in relationship with God, with others and within each individual heart.

While this shattered the heart of man and woman, it broke the heart of God as well. He loved man and woman with all His heart and soul. Yet, in His perfect foreknowledge He knew this would happen and already had a redemptive plan established. God would send His own Son - Jesus Christ/Yeshua ha Mashiach - to die for these offenses, in order that salvation could be procured for those who would receive the gift of God through faith in what Jesus/Yeshua would do. While God cursed the serpent/Satan, He simply laid out the consequences for man and woman. The power of choice bears the consequences of choice -- some good, some bad.

In the fullness of time, God did indeed send His Son, who lived in perfect righteousness. While we bear the image of God, He was unique, in that He was God, born in the flesh of mankind. He followed His Father's heart and holiness in absolute perfection. While living within this world system, just as we do, with all the associated temptations to wrong choices -- He was neither born in sin, nor chose to sin. Whereas, the first man used his power of choice to choose wrongly, Jesus the Christ/Yeshua ha Mashiach used His power of choice to choose the heart's desire of the Heavenly Father. He knew our experiences, trials and temptations, but chose to obey and thereby established our salvation.

He did this by dying for our sinful lives. He died a horrible death upon a cross to pay for the offenses we have committed. Our sin was placed upon Him, but because He did not sin, our sin could not keep Him in the grave. On the third day after His burial, the power of God filled His lifeless body and He arose from the grave victorious over sin and death. If you will believe into what He has done on your behalf, you will receive the salvation that He has provided for you. It is His heart for you that you would be redeemed and live in His love forever . . . no matter what you have done. He has not waited for you to get cleaned up to come to Him, but has come to you - even in this moment - to give you a new heart and new spirit, to write His righteous ways onto your heart and to give you His Holy Spirit to live within you to provide the power to walk in His ways of righteousness . . . if you will choose to receive it.

There is hope for you. He has paid the price for your redemption. Yes, He has provided salvation for you from sin, but He has also provided redemption from everything you have become apart from Him. He wants you to display His glory once again and to share His heart of love with others by genuinely transforming your life, which is a living witness to His grace and mercy. This journey of freedom can begin to unfold before your very eyes, if you will use your power of choice to choose His gift of salvation.

Jesus promised something very important. He is coming back. He will rule and reign as He establishes a new kingdom upon this earth and He wants you to be redeemed . . . to rule and reign in righteousness with Him. Will you choose the redemption that He has purchased on your behalf? He is knocking on the door of your heart and will come in and put your broken heart back together again. He came to destroy the works of the devil and to give life in greater abundance.
