"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed
Me to preach good tidings to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD. . ."

"So he answered and said, 'You shall love the LORD your God with
all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength,
and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.''"

We believe that there are two key aspects in living the abundant life that God desires for us.

First, we must squarely face our own woundedness.

"For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me."
-Psalm 109:22-

Secondly, we must learn to walk with God and live in His love.

"Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God,
with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore."
-Psalm 86:11-12-

Both of these key aspects of a relationship with God are often relegated to the margins in
institutional Christianity, when it comes to the practical focus of a life with God. In it's place
are programs and a default emphasis on right behavior.

While The Moriah Foundation desires for righteousness in the personal life of each individual
and the public life of each institution, we believe that the emphasis needs to come back to the heart of the matter. The Lord Jesus Christ came into this world - sent by the Heavenly Father - with a mission to bind and heal our broken hearts and to set us free, who are captives to sin and our own self-efforts.

As we experience the healing transformation of God's love, it draws us more deeply into His heart and we learn to love Him the way He loves us. Desire for personal holiness is stirred and reaching out to others becomes an overflow of God's healing love through us.
