A Relational Journey

I opened up my Bible App this morning and Matthew 28:18-20 was the verse on the screen. I decided to reflect on the Complete Jewish Bible version of the passage and it was really cool how—in the spirit of my mind—I was able to see it in definitive sections. The Holy Spirit is so faithful to take the written Word and anoint it to become living for the reader. This morning was no exception for me ...

The Next Move Of God

There are times when the Holy Spirit brings a more-specific, conscious awareness to a person, in the midst of walking life’s journey. It is a part of a maturing yoked-with-Jesus relationship. Moriah’s ThanksGathering is a yearly tradition, occurring the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year. It came about as a celebration, held in conjunction with the general time-frame The Moriah Foundation was officially established. Each year we want to acknowledge that the LORD has continued His faithfulness to us, for keeping the doors open, for freeing & healing wounded hearts, and in continually teaching us how to live in His love.

Keep Pressing In & Onward

It’s been awhile since I posted last. In the last couple of blog posts, I focused on the need to wake up spiritually and to fulfill the purpose for which we were created. Those themes still resonate within my spirit … even more so since last spring.

#InOurHomesTogether

God exists outside of time and space. 'Gathering' is a condition of the heart, as much as (or more than) it is physical proximity. I've mentioned this in a previous post, but would like to share about it a bit more. We are learning new ways to gather under the Lordship of Jesus/Yeshua. Livestreams with interactive Q&A ... ZOOM meetings for classes … The Moriah Foundation continues its flexibility to connect with the heart of God and with the hearts of others.

Hidden Gems Of Passover

Most Christians have an aversion to Passover, either seeing it as “Old Testament,” something Jews do and Christians don’t, or almost an affront to the celebration of Easter.

I mean this with all grace … each of those reactions are errant. The Scriptures are a whole, and without the “Old” or “New” Testaments you simply don’t have the whole counsel of God on the matter of history (or, like I enjoy saying, His-Story). Passover is one of the Feasts, but it is not a Feast of the Jews. The Scriptures say they are Feasts of the LORD.

LIFE

God is all about LIFE. He spoke and the universe leapt into existence … from nothing … something!

He gave LIFE to Adam with a simple breath of His Spirit. When man turned against God (through the deceptive words of Satan) … God gave the opportunity of the LIFE of His Spirit to us once again, through His Son’s own death (in bearing the full weight of our sin) and rising again from the dead. He is the first-fruit of LIFE from the grave. And those who place their trust in Him receive His LIFE and will also rise again. Nothing can ultimately keep us down, when we are in the LIFE of God.
